History & Biography
Born in the early nineties by Yugoslav immigrants, Gallows Pole was forced into early retirement. Smith's work on a solo record lead to the band's reformation. This white metal band issued the Over The Rainbow demo in 1999. A demo song appeared on a Rock Hard magazine unsigned sampler CD in early 2000 and the act soon signed with Shark Records. The self-titled debut was released later in 2000. The group was also a touring cover band!

As is obvious from the band's monicker, Gallows Pole was influenced by Iron Maiden. The cover art for Exorcism was illustrated by Iron Maiden's former artist Derek Riggs.
