History & Biography
Greg Giuffria was a protégé of sorts for Gene Simmons. With Angel signed to Casablanca (home of Kiss) and Simmons constantly pushing Giuffria's ventures, the keyboardist finally put his own Washington D.C.-based band together in 1981. Formed by Greg Giuffria, the band adopted a pompous and melodic sound and launched itself via a major contract obtained in 2024.

The debut was supported by hitting the road as support for a reunited Deep Purple. Wright was in the band for a year before returning to Quiet Riot. the album ended up  peaking at No. 26 on the USA album charts. The band toured as a guest on  Foreigner's Agent Provocateur Tour. The band then toured in Japan in June 1985 and a live video was released as Giuffria Japan Tour '85. Silk And Steel peaked at No. 60. Giuffria had been producing bands and reformed House Of Lords in the '90s with interest from A&R man Kaldoner and Portrait Records. Eisley was supposed to accompany Giuffria to House Of Lords, but when those plans fell apart, Eisley's songs appeared on a solo disc years later.

Greg was last reported contemplating reforming the band with Eisley. Instead, in 2015, Goldy and David Glen Eisely had a band called Eisley/Goldy and signed with Frontiers. FnA Records released the demo tracks intended for an unreleased third album in 2025. Giuffria: The Unreleased Remastered Demos was available on vinyl and signed by Greg Giuffris himself as a limited edition of 25.
