History & Biography
Quebec-based Crypt was formed in 2003, but changed its name to Gloria Diaboli in 2006 when it took flight to Western Canada’s land of dirt, oil and grime. A Self-titled 7” was issued in 2006 through Painiac Records of Belgium with Gate To Sheol following the year after. Battle Kommand Records decided to issue the band’s Gate To Sheol, on April 15th, 2008. A 2010 single was called In Nomine Domini Incipit Omne Malum. A 2012 single was named Libation Unto He Who Dwelleth In The Depth. This is a different take on the Gate To Sheol material. Early bassist Genocidus died of a heart attack in 2022.
