History & Biography
The doom metal band with a female singer and keyboards was founded in 2017 and released an EP called A Grand Reclamation through Transcending Records in 2018. Singer and guitarist Hamish Glencross had left My Dying Bride in 2014. His wife was the K&F artist as of 2022. Drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels came from My Dying Bride and Anathema. Guitarist Chaz Netherwood and bassist Rich Mumford left. Dead In The Studio was a 2019 demo. New guitarist Danny Lambert departed. The recordings led to a contract with Profound Lore Records and the release of an album called Reflections in 2020. There was a video clip for the song The Sea As My Grave. At this point, the band was a trio of singer and guitarist Hamish, bassist Bob and drummer Shaun. This album kicked off an envisioned trilogy by the group. The Distortions album of 2023 was promoted through the Devils video.

Profound Lore Records issued the Projections album by doom metal band Godthrymm in May of 2026. Like all albums there were guest appearances on this release too.

According to the band, Godthrymm means 'divine force,' a monicker conceived by former guitarist Chaz Netherwood.
