History & Biography
The band was founded in 2019 and issued a record called Gold Spire two years later. The act considered itself metal, but there was a person who was doing the nouveau-trend saxophone. Because every band must have line-up changes, singer Heval Bozarslan left. Sweden-based death/doom band Gold Spire released its second album, Steps Into Shadow, through Awakening Records on June 19th, 2026. The album paid tribute to the Swedish working class and the fight against fascism. The events of Ådalen, Sweden in 1931, when Swedish soldiers fired on a striking workers’ demonstration during a labour conflict, inspired the act. Arvid Sjödin had joined newly.

Gold Spire was formed in Uppsala, Sweden, by brothers Erik Sundström and Påhl Sundström, following the demise of Påhl's former band Usurpress. Upon formation, the members knew each other from acts like Shuriken and Regurgitated Innards.
