History & Biography
As stylized in the band's logo, Gorleben is a radioactive waste disposal site in northern Germany. Members were named after radioactive elements. The band itself was founded in 2010. The first release came in 2021. It was a single called Sleepless b/w Contaminated. Game Over - incidentally also a Nuclear Assault album title - was the follow-up demo in 2022. There was an animated video for the song Contaminated. There were several gigs with Infest in Germany and Austria.

Darkness Shall Rise Productions would release Gorleben’s Menetekel album in October of 2025. The band’s style was described as death/doom, but the act had a keyboard player. There were several immediate gigs and an album release show. The band booked a gig opening for TodoMal and Evoken in 2026.
