History & Biography
The fantasy metal band was founded by Irrwycht and Nekromant in Dortmund in 2016. Drummer Nachtmahr was the first to conduct the ceremonial departure. The Auf Den Hügelgräberhöhen demo followed. The Unter Dem Banner Der Toten EP was issued through Iron Bonehead Productions in 2019. The label would also repress the band's demo. Irrwycht's project Ypokosmos had been on the same label previously. Heldentod was the debut album and released on 22.01.2021. Guitarist Nekromant left in 2021. The band was booked for the Never Surrender Festival Vol. III in 2023. Drummer Olog-hai left in 2025. Germany-based black metal band Grabunhold issued a record, called Frostheim, through Iron BoneHead Records in June of 2026. The band booked a gig with Bezwering and Spere for the spring of 2026.

The band's monicker references the wraith-like barrow-wights of The Lord Of The Rings in German. The band's lyrics are influenced by the Christian writer Tolkien.
