History & Biography
Hagane is an all-girl hard rock and "harmonic metal" band founded by guitarist Sakura in Tokyo in June of 2018. The band's frilly image often featured azure and blue colours. A first demo arrived in 2018. Early singer Chiemi took off in 2019. Another two-song demo arrived in 2020. A couple of live recordings lead to Episode 0, a 2020 demo. Code ; 9021 was a 2021 demo that the band shot a couple of videos for. The band's singer Uyu left in 2023. The band played one final gig with her and put out a public call for auditions. Guitarist Mayto had been a force in the band, but left in 2023 as well. They would focus on a new band called Mana Diagram. Also adding to the upheaval was departing drummer Takahashi Kanako who was also in Garden Of The Lilium. Euclid Agency promoted the 2024 demo, Life Goes On! Drummer Junna travelled to Canada for a tour with Fate Gear in 2024. Hagane was booked at the Metal Vampire 20th Anniversary show at Club Citta in Kanagawa, alongside Saber Tiger, Punish, Cause For Pause, Tears Of Tragedy and Hades on November 17th 2024. Top Of The Tower was a 30.04.2025 demo.

Japan-based all-girl hard rock band Hagane signed a worldwide physical album deal with Napalm Records, excluding Japan, for its upcoming album Through The Night in 2026. The album was scheduled for physical release outside Japan on January 15, 2027. The label noticed the band's appearance at Germany's Rockharz Festival that summer. Hagane was booked to return to Epic Fest 2027 in Denmark. The band played the 2026 edition amidst a tour of Europe. Napalm Records had signed another Japanese all-girl band, namely Lovebites, earlier as well.

The word 'Hagane' means 'steel' in Japanese.
