History & Biography
The thrash metal band from Calgary, Canada was founded in August 2012 and quickly changed names twice. Singer Cole had picked the name Hazerd X initially. Victimize The Innocent was the 2014 demo. The band was composed of singer and drummer Dylan "Shoes" Westendorp, guitarists Brendan "Wheats" Malycky and Toryin Schadlich. Members quickly began peeling off. Earlier bassist Aaron McKay rejoined and, old habits die hard, left again. Bassists Jake W. and Scott Nadeau were euphemisms for cameo appearances. A record only appeared in 2017. It was called Misleading Evil and counted bassist David Sprague as a member. M-Theory Audio picked the band up and released a record in January 2020. Delirium Gearing up for the first annual Decimate Metalfest booked bands like Chaos Being, Accostal, and Hazzerd in 2018. The group was booked for Armstrong Metal Fest 2019. Founding guitarist Brendan Malycky left in 2023. Toryin joined the bassist in Schädlich.

Hazzerd’s next album, The 3rd Dimension, was released through M-Theory Audio on 17.01.2025. It featured new guitarist Nick Schwartz (also of TYMO). This album was being recorded as early as 2022. The song Unto Ashes became a music video. The group was billed for the Loud As Hell Open Air Festival in Canada in 2025.
