History & Biography Similar to a hydrogen bomb, this French act's influence surpassed its meagre output. The band was formed by two former Cyanure members in 1981 and soon released an EP called Coup De Metal in 1983. The EP was produced by Jack Hustinx. The group opened for Def Leppard and played at Dynamo in 1983 opening for Anvil. The band supported acts like Trust and Accept and replaced Martin by a second Ferreira brother on guitar in 1984. This lineup appeared at Belgium's Heavy Sound Festival with Motorhead, Mercyful Fate, Twisted Sister and Lita Ford.
Attaque furthered the band's popularity on continental Europe. A 12" called To Feel Is Pain was also released in 1985. Towards the end the
band even replaced singer Izard with one Patrick Diamond. The idea was to become more commercial, sing in English and gain ground outside France. The band broke up instead.
Much like its French contemporaries H-Bomb lyricized in French. Izard died of cancer in 2018. The full-length was re-issued in 2019, along with a compilation called Massacre. This featured the 1983 demo and live material from 1984.
