History & Biography
Following Nifelheim’s hiatus in 2022, singer Hellbutcher founded his own band. Hellbutcher, featuring the singer, guitarists Necrophiliac (also of Mordant) and Iron Beast, bassist Eld, and drummer Devastator (ex-Nifelheim). Death’s Rider was a 2022 demo. The Hellbutcher album was available through Metal Blade Records in mid-2024. There was a video for the song The Sword Of Wrath. Drum stool-for-hire Perra Karlsson was in for live work. Also pitching in was bassist Tobias Petterson. The official members were all in a myriad of other side-projects. The band was booked for Körpehölsfestivalen, Chaos Descends and (the NSBM-associated) Steelfest Open Air Metal festival. Hellbutcher was booked for December Darkness in Norrköping, Sweden in December 2024. The band was booked for Winter Of Wolves show in Lithuania in 2025. The group was booked for Maryland Deathfest 2026.
