History & Biography Hellfire was formed in April of 1996 by Alex, Steve and Jim - the
latter two brothers. In a scant six months later Obel joined the band and the
first demo entitled Tombstone was recorded. This was followed by
Crystal Age in January of 1998. The band forged on and in July of 1999
the demo-CD Clonosis was released by the band.
Hellfire supported Destruction, Nightfall and others live and also appeared on the Deathophobia II sampler with a song from Clonosis. A
year later the thrashers issued their latest demo U-238. In April of 2002 George replaced the departed Obel and the band signed with the
fledgling Sleaszy Rider Records for two albums. In order to avoid confusion with another band, the band changed its name.
The debut full-length was recorded at Mythos Studio and released in November of 2002. The band split up, but two members ended up in Black Stone Machine in 2019.
