History & Biography
Helms Deep came together in 2019. The act hinted at Satan, Raven and Warlord. The heavy metal band was Raven singer and bassist John Gallagher (who was based in the USA), founder, singer and guitarist Alex Sciortino and drummer Mike Heller. To be fair, Heller was in every band, including Raven, however.

The band’s debut album was released by Nameless Grave Records in late 2023. Heller and Lasse Lammert produced.

Mike Heller was out as of 2025. Drummer Hal Aponte (Ice Age, etc.) replaced him. Second guitarist Ray DeTone also joined the line-up.

Helms Deep was a valley housing a fortress in Tolkien’s Middle-earth.
