History & Biography The band was formed in 1989 after various hardcore musicians banded
together to play something more brutal. Hideous Mangleus was a
Pennsylvania-based death metal/grindcore band which released a 1990
demo
called All Your Friends Are Dead. The band also issued a 7" called We
Live...You Sleep in the autumn of 1991. This was followed by Unearthing
Grandma's Grave 7" through Ecocentric in the summer of 1992. Plans for
an LP called Hideous Repulse were abandoned. A CD of different material
appeared in 1998 through Germany's Ecocentric which again carried the
title All Your Friends Are Dead. The band officially broke up in
1999.
There was a report of the band reforming in 2000. At one point Repulse
was supposed to issue a CD as well. The band reformed again in 2003
with
plans calling for another compilation through Goregiastic Records.
The band called its style HorrorCore.
