History & Biography
Highgate, a doom metal act from Florence, Kentucky, USA, formed in 2005. Black Frost Fallout was the name for the 2006 demo. The band released its self-titled debut full-length studio album in 2008 and placed one track on it. Live Ritual I was a demo stemming from the same year. A second album was called Shrines To The Warhead. This one featured three songs and an intro. Jay Waller was on bass here. Shawn Kirst was the band's next bassist and appeared on a couple of split releases, but the man would leave and later die in 2022. The act itself had disbanded and the Porter brothers were focusing on Ancient Slab before a reunion of sorts.

Highgate’s Prophecies Of Eternal Horror was released through Horror Pain Gore Death on March 27th 2026. The band was compared to Rwake and Grief. The band featured former Maggot Casket members. Maggot Casket’s album was issued on the same label as well.
