History & Biography Germany's High Tension was a hard rock band which was formed in 1979. Drummer Dirk Beermann was replaced by the Swiss Marco Roth following the release of Under Tension. The media reported that guitarist Thomas Dierstein was involved in a car accident in 1989 which put the band in hiatus indefinitely. The band had toured with Nazareth in the past. High Tension (self-titled) was a 1993 re-release of Masters Of Madness through LaserLight.
LaserlightKDC Records issued a 'best of' sampler in 2004. The band can also be heard on several German compilation LPs. Another sampler was The High Tension Legacy in 2007.
Scream Records of Germany unearthed a decade-old recording and issued it as Meanstreak in 2008. Rapp was on drums.
