History & Biography
The band was first formed featuring former White Wizzard members in 2008 as Sorcerer (for a mere six months) before changing its monicker to Holy Grail. Luna had left White Wizzard on bad terms and had, in fact, held on to the White Wizzard website. Safe to say, the animosity continued. Less than a year later Prosthetic Records issued a 7” single called Improper Burial for the band. This lead to a late 2010 release of a full-length on the same label. James la Rue left and was briefly repalced by Utopia Banished's Ian Scott. Blind Guardian’s North American portion of the Sacred Worlds And Songs Divine 2010 World Tour commenced on November 19th. Support acts were Holy Grail and Florida’s Seven Kingdoms. Holy Grail would team up with Canadian band Cauldron for a North American tour from April 15th through May 12th 2011. Holy Grail would close all U.S.A shows while Cauldron would close all Canadian dates. Alex Lee stepped in on guitar. The year brought a 7” EP featuring nothing but cover versions. It was called Seasons Bleedings.

The band was next licensed to Nuclear Blast. The group opened for Anthrax on tour in support of Ride The Void. 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise hosted the act in 2013. The Los Angeles-based heavy metal band would release an album, called Times Of Pride And Peril, on February 12th, 2016 through Prosthetic Records. It was the follow-up to 2013's Ride The Void. The band was touring with Death Angel, Flotsam & Jetsam, Night Demon and Marty Friedman in late 2015. The act toured North America with Striker and Bewitcher before touring Japan in 2019. The band played at NAMM to start 2020 and disbanded in 2022. Luna had moved on to Intranced and called his act's style LatiNWOBHM (Latino Wave Of British Heavy Metal)!
