History & Biography
The group was formed in 2007 by guitarist Lasse Pyykkö who had also performed in Phlegethon. He was on guitar at first before adding vocals before also handling the bass. Jori Sara-aho was on bass before switching to drums. The early demo was called The Eyeless Horde. Razorback signed the band and issued an album called Fulfill The Curse. Anima Morte and the band issued a split before the group’s signing with Profound Lore Records and releasing Never Cross The Dead. Pekka Koskelo joined in 2009, but left in 2010 only to return in 2011. Several splits with the likes of Asphyx and Horse Latitudes followed. The third album was on a third label. Season Of Mist signed Finnish death/doom metal band Hooded Menace in late 2016. Harri Kuokkanen (of Ride For Revenge and Horse Latitudes) became the band’s singer in 2016. The act was billed at Killtown Death Fest 2018 in Denmark. Pekka left and returned. Hooded Menace had a 2021 song called Blood Ornaments, which was taken from the band’s upcoming release The Tritonus Bell. The album was scheduled for world-wide release on through Season Of Mist August 27th, 2021. The band announced an album called Lachrymose Monuments Of Obscuration for late 2025 or October to be precise. The boys are Finnish and so it stood to reason that the album to be "cello-haunted." More Finnishness followed when the band covered Duran Duran’s Save A Prayer. Also covering 1980s pop ditties out of Finland, like lemmings, were Northern Kings, Everfrost, Omnium Gatherum, Sonata Arctica, Him, Warmen, Frozen Land and Children Of Bodom.

The band has almost had as many members and its members have been in as many bands as Donald Trump has had skanks and whores (in his cabinet as well).
