Reviews HUGO - TIME ON EARTH - FRONTIERS/ MAJESTIC
I have little idea what the market is like for a commercial A&R/ hard rock band like Hugo nowadays. It is safe to assume that the successful return of many genre bands can do no harm. Hugo, former Valentine member who here is aided by Ten guitarist Vinny Burns, is like a cross between Bon Jovi, White Lion and early Bryan Adams. It's all very commercially accessible and the kind of smooth sailing rock that one might play on a lazy summer afternoon. No, the low IQ Machine Head fan won't go for this; but who wants her support anyway? - Ali "The Metallian"
