History & Biography Hungrey was founded in Rome in 2023, initially as a side-project, before becoming a main act. Influence came from bands such as Queensryche, Fates Warning and Crimson Glory. There was an assertion regarding sounds and oscillations, which smacked of science fiction.
During the two-year period of 2023 to 2024, Hungrey consolidated its line-up and wrote enough material to release an album. During 2024, the band, with singer Ray Sperlonga (who had taped Messerschmitt), recorded at NMG Studio in Palestrina, Rome. It uploaded a song called Start To Forget and a video was made. Hungrey released two more singles (Moth and Falling) before the full-length's release. These songs were also promoted through a video. The three clips, created by Tommaso Benvenuti, offered a single plot inspired by the lyrics of the songs, divided into three acts, each with different temporal settings. The videos represented a trilogy, starting from Start To Forget, followed by a prequel (Moth) and a sequel (Falling). The self-titled album was made available in February and the CD arrived on March 27th 2025. The album release party took place in Rome, at Stazione Birra, on March 27, 2025.
Two members who appeared on the album (Emiliano Baccini and Alex Di Nunzio) were replaced by Stefano Conti and Luca Ioveno respectively.
