History & Biography
Hybernoid was formed in 1991 and recorded its demo Ophthaphobia six months into its existence. The next demo was called Well Of Grief and went on to ship 600 copies. The band cleverly filmed a video for the title track which when shipped to various labels garnered the band interest. The band signed to Displeased Records for an album and 7" happening after an appearance on the Antichrist Superstar sampler. The band recorded two 7" EPs at Academy Studio (Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, etc.) - one called Dust In The Wind and World Of Ruin - which sold well. The Technology/Regression EP was issued in the USA by Psycho Slaughter Records.

In 1994, the band recorded its debut album The Last Day Begins again at Academy Studio. The album was soon licensed by Germany's Massacre Records and Poland's Sick Records. Displeased next released a sampler of the band's work, techno remixes and other oddities for 1995.

The band's complete shift to techno meant a departure from Displeased. The new style was reflected in 1998's Advanced Technology, which featured Andy Slater in sequencing and programming. The album was issued by Germany’s Visage Records.

An unreleased album recorded after Todays Tomorrows Yesterday exists, yet remains unfinished and unreleased. 2016 brought an odds and ends compilation called The Last Day Begins? [+EP's & Demos]. Dunk Goodenough died of cancer in 2017. The cancer had been discovered in 2016 and the stonemason spent his last days in hospice.
