History & Biography Fukuoka-born Hydrophobia has had a problem since 1997. Japan is completely surrounded by water. Perhaps that is why the band’s 2001 demo was called Mortify The Flesh. This was preceded by a self-titled demo in 1999. The only original member of the band is singer and guitarist Rin. The group’s album was issued in 2008, which was six years after first contracting to World Chaos of Japan.
