History & Biography
The Ottawa, Canada-based heavy/speed metal came together as a follow-up to Iron Dogs in 2015. Iron Dogs' Dan Lee was also in Occult Burial and was uninterested in continuing with Jo and the act.

Jo would take the reins and handle all instruments and production duties. There were several singles and digital uploads before 2016’s Battle Zone EP through Argh Fuck Kill! Records. The 2015 upload We Will Stand was dedicated to indigenous resistance against colonialism. There was a cover version of 1980s' band Randy. Shadow Kingdom issued the band’s full-length. No Way Of Turning Back was a cassette EP of 2018. Canadian Classics was a 2019 cover versions’ compilation. Ice War had a lyric video for the track Sacred Land in advance of the 2021 album Sacred Land, which would be released through Fighter Records on 18.05.2021. The band was Jo Capitalicide and although the previous releases were closer to Speed Metal, Sacred Land made a turn towards more epic sounds with some Black Sabbath at times. Bloodsucker was a 2023 EP issued through Analog Overdose Records. The act was booked for Japan and Muskelrock På Tyrolen Sweden in 2024. Abigail's Suzuki Yasuyuki was a live guest musician.

Jo is a serial project member and monickers come and go. Jo is a Metis.
