History & Biography Active since 2013, Imperialist is a sci-fi-oriented extreme metal band that released the Quantum Annexation demo in 2015. Richard Nunez contributed bass to this recording. Transcending Obscurity signed the band and released Cipher in 2018. There was no promotion and the band remained obscure and completely underground. Quantum was an EP in 2023. The band had re-signed with the label. The EP, in the meanwhile, was just a self-cover version exercise of the band's demo! The group was billed at México Black Metal Chaos III in Mexico in 2023. The band was booked for Maryland Deathfest XIX in 2024.
Black metal band Imperialist announced an album called Prime through Transcending Obscurity Records for late 2025. It was recorded and produced by Charles Elliott and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö.
