History & Biography
Imperium Dekadenz was founded in the summer of 2004 by singer Horaz and drummer Vespasian. They play all music on records and recruit musicians for shows. After a promo and demo in 2005 the band issued ...Und Die Welt Ward Kalt Und Leer (‘and the world was cold and empty’) in 2006. The band booked a string of concerts in Germany and Switzerland for December of 2014. The band would be joined by fellow Germans Gernotshagen, Bifröst and Firtan. Imperium Dekadenz announced the title for its 2016 album to be Dis Manibvs. The phrase translated from Latin to ‘To The Spirits Of The Dead’, which basically meant ‘In Remembrance’ – an inscription found on antique Roman grave markers. The German black metal band released its fifth full-length on August 26th. Germany-based black metal duo Imperium Dekadenz signed a contract with Napalm Records in mid-2018. The band’s next album was due in 2019. When We Are Forgotten was issued through Napalm Records in August.

Into Sorrow Evermore arrived at the beginning of 2023. The band was booked for Godless Mountain Open Air IV alongside Grabak, Eisregen, Corrosive and Depression in 2024. The band was booked for Summer Breeze 2024 as well.

The band has utilized several members for the purpose of concerts. They come from the ranks of Germany-based Vargsheim.
