History & Biography This band was founded in 2000 and refused to become a model for productivity, effectiveness or industriousness. Drummer A. did not stay. Drummer Sadistic M. joined in 2003, left in 2011 and returned in 2017 replacing Drøm who had replaced him. The band had its debut through Eisenwald in 2006. Black and white cover artwork were the order. The band opened for Taake in 2009. The band claimed allegiance to black metal, but Verblichen hurled a saxophone at the listener. Germany-based black metal group Infaust issued its first album since 2017 in 2025. Entseelt would hit the streets on January 30th 2026 through Eisenwald. Singer Psycho had left in 2023. His replacement Mt. Beliar was new as of 2025.
In medicine, 'infaust' refers to a clinical condition with an uncertain or poor prognosis. Drummer A, the band claims, had received the prognosis from a physician and so the monicker was chosen.
