History & Biography Based in Southern France, Inherits the Void is a solo act that was founded in 2020. Mémoires was the immediate demo. Avantgarde picked up the band and the debut arrived in 2021. Avantgarde Music was issuing Inherits The Void’s Scars Of Yesteryears, which was described as “Melodic black metal from France” in the spring of 2024. Nico Muller of Artefact was a guest drummer. Dan Swanö mastered it.
The act chooses to use keyboards and synthesizers and metal fans should tread with caution. Not content to have one solo project, Antoine Scholtes had a new act called Wurmian in 2025. Claiming inspiration from Katatonia, Wurmian had an album called Immemorial Shrine through Pest Records on April 6th, 2025.
