History & Biography
There is a God and this band proves it. In Loving Memory was founded in August of 2005 and disbanded in 2026. The act lost three members before sole remaining member, singer and guitarist Juanma Blanco, decided to call it a day. Following every other death, the remaining members had opted to continue the act. Spain-based melancholic/melodic doom metal act In Loving Memory lost its guitarist Jorge Araiz to cancer in 2026. The band's keyboardist Alberto. O had died in 2025. Bassist José "Txerra" González had died in 2022.

The band was founded in 2005 and released a demo, called In Loving Memory, in 2006. Two members were formerly of the band Forensick. Two members came from Lost Emotions. Female singer Alaitz B. Isusi was part of the line-up here. Aitor Iglesias (ex-Lost EMpotions) was the drummer. The debut full-length was called - keep paying attention to the titles - Tragedy & Moon and issued in 2008. Guitarist Juanma Blanco had taken over the microphone. The debut album was called Negation Of Life and released in 2011. The band was booked for a show in Italy called Night Of The Fallen Angels in 2013. Redemption was a 2014 EP. Igor Pastor (Agoyzen and formerly of Forensick) was the drummer. The Withering was released through a label called Funere to begin 2022. Blanco shut down the act in July of 2026 not having the will to continue anymore.
