History & Biography The Limburgers were formed in 1989. A self-titled demo was issued in 1991, but the band disappeared until 1995’s Our Path Is Dark And Lonely... thus explaining the absence. The initially death metal-oriented sounds were more doom metal by now. The group managed to obtain a contract with the Dutch label Teutonic Existence and issue ...And Darkness Drowned The Land Divine nine years after formation. A video was shot for the song La Tristesse Eternelle. The Prophecy Of Doom demo appeared in 2003, but it was another six years before a new record was issued. This time the band had found a Belgian label. Belgian black death metal veterans Insanity Reigns Supreme would release a new studio album, called Unorthodox, on January 16th, 2015 through the fledgling Shiver Records. Chris was now on bass. Ron Cotar was now on guitars. The Belgian black death metal band had a live video for the track By The Blood Of The Beast in 2017, which was taken from the latest studio album Unorthodox.
