History & Biography Could the scene be getting an erection for the name 'Insurrection' in the same way as the one for 'aggressor,' 'nemesis,' 'armageddon' or whatever? Here comes another band called Insurrection ignoring the Canadians, Americans, Brits and more.
The death thrash band was founded in 2010 and issued an EP, called Catatonic, through the local Big Bad Wolf Records in early 2015. The band possibly thought that putting a hot chick on its CD cover would give it a leg up on the competition and namesakes alike; alas, everyone knows that the girl is hot, exciting and easy the first couple of times in the sack, but will soon become as depicted on the MCD's cover. It will start making demands, interrupt, nag, have mood swings, go through the band members' phones, creep on them on Facebook, get tattoos, put on weight (and instead of eating less constantly ask for validation that she, in fact, has not become fat) and generally become like the cover model. Singer and bassist Sander Blok had already left in 2012.
Circles Of Despair was a 2019 album. Insurrection was booked for Dokk'EM Open Air 2019. Exiled To Earth, whose cover was reminiscent of Crimson Skies, was a 2024 EP. The band had lined up multiple 2025 gigs.
