History & Biography

A death metal band with members of far right act Cromlech (whose genesis came through a meeting at an Into Oblivion concert, but has since gone the way of Donald Trump’s hair), Into Oblivion was founded in 2007. The gang played hardcore covers initially, but drifted towards extreme metal later. A self-titled full-length demo was the first release in 2008. The band reprinted these a year later and gave it a different cover. Another demo was Creation Of A Monolith of 2010. Kaveh Afshar joined on second guitar at this point. Into Oblivion, Cromlech and Shoor, which featured Afshar, shared an independent release, entitled Under The Banner Of The Serpent Sun, in 2010. The band went into self-cover version mode on the 2013 split, Oblivion's Oceans. Paragon was a demo in 2018. Keeping it in the family, Cromlech, Korrosive and Into Oblivion gave a joint concert in 2019. Hessian Firm, which was working with Cromlech, issued an EP called Winds Of Serpentine Ascension in 2020.

Into Oblivion is noted for its lengthy tracks. The members moved on to Mormegil when Cromlech split up in 2023.
