History & Biography The act came together in 2003. Daniel Cordón, keyboardist Pablo Fernández and guitarist Alejandro Sastre were childhood friends. A school-mate called Usama also joined the gang. They called their band NG.
With a full line-up, the monicker was changed to In Vain. Spirit Of Earth was the debut demo and released in 2005. The act won a local competition called 8th Rivas Vaciamadrid Pop-Rock Contest. The Dawn Of Misery demo was released in 2007. A label released an album for the band in 2009. Then came Demo 2011, which led right back to Santo Grial. In Death We Trust was released in 2012. Rubén De Lope was on bass here. The band opened for the likes of Axxis. The Little Things That Matter had Mario Arredondo on bass and the band had dumped its Elton John devotee. New keyboard man Francisco Quintanilla came in to add softness and sensitivity to the act. IV was a demo in 2017. Long-time guitarist Martin left the band. All Hope Is Gone featured Mario Arredondo on bass.
Spain-based heavy metal band In Vain released another album with a forlorn title called Back To Nowhere through Fighter Records in February 2024. Julio Abadía was on second guitar since 2022.
