History & Biography
The band was founded in Italy as Cyanide Christ in 2007. The monicker changed to Inverted in 2008. Michael Smith joined in 2015 and the latest monicker was picked in 2016. Inverted Matter announced a demo entitled Detach for April 2017. Drummer Bestia came and went in 2017. It featured Mike Smith from Suffocation on drums. Inverted Matter released its debut album Detach through Lethal Scissor Records in December 2019. The band featured former Suffocation drummer Mike Smith.

Singer Paolo Forner and bassist Francesco Barioli arrived in 2020. Drummer Bestia also returned to the fold. He was one of the new ilk of drummers with allegiance ony to money who would go around stool to stool. Unorthodox Emanations was issuing the Italy and USA-based death metal band’s new studio album in October 2022. The group was recording it earlier in the year.
