History & Biography
Irdorath was formed in 2005 and named after an island in the game Gothic II. Markus was the founder and initially only handled the vocals. Erwachen ('awakening') was the band’s 2006 demo. In the autumn of 2011 Austrian thrashers Irdorath signed a deal with Massacre Records. The band's second album, Dekonstrukteur Des Fleisches, was to be released in January of 2012. Esche left in 2015. The band signed a distribution deal with Wormholedeath for the worldwide release of its album, Denial Of Creation. Former Pungent Stench man commemorated the thirtieth anniversary of the band’s last album with European X-Mas shows. Schirenc played Pungent Stench and brought as openers Carnation, Theotoxin and Irdorath. Austria-based black/thrash metal act Irdorath signed with Art Gates Records in 2020. An album called The Final Sin was out in May.
