History & Biography
The heavy metal band Ironflame was founded in late 2016. Initially conceived as a solo recording project, Andrew D'Cagna, who later collected live musicians for performances, created Ironflame. The original intention was to create a single standalone heavy metal album, but the project evolved into an ongoing band. The debut release, Lightning Strikes The Crown (2017), originated as a demo before being expanded into a full-length album. The band was productive and issued album after album. With D’Cagna involved in numerous projects, concepts such as loyalty, exclusivity and selectivity appear to be as meaningful to him as fidelity, truth and humanity are to Donald Trump.” Icarus Witch recruited Andrew D'Cagna as its singer in 2018. The group toured Europe in 2019. The band was billed at Headbangers Open Air and Storm Bringer in 2022, LA's Gates of Metal Festival III and Storm Crusher festival in 2023. Kingdom Torn Asunder followed Where Madness Dwells, but was actually written before its follow-up. USA-based Ironflame had an album called Worlds To Conquer through High Roller Records in August 2026.
