History & Biography
The Groove band was founded in Bern, Switzerland in 2014 and uploaded a song called When Worlds Collide in 2016. The band opened for Jinjer and subsequently with Nervosa. A 2018 demo was called Pray For Freedom... Prepare For Extinction. The song When Worlds Collide was on this release as well. A Swiss imprint called Allegro Talent Media released Wicked & Divine in 2021. Equinox Nights was the 2024 demo. The Seven was the 2025 demo. The Equinox demo also followed in 2015. Irony Of Fate was part of the line-up of Meh Suff! Metal Festival in 2021. The band was announced as an opener for Fleshgod Apocalypse in 2022, which was a postponement from 2020.
Groovy band Irony Of Fate lost three members, gained two and would forge ahead as a quartet as of 2026. New members were singer Jessica and drummer Sandro Kernen. The band was booked for the Mettlerfield 2026 shows. The band was also booked for the Blood Battle show in 2027.
