History & Biography
Is Pain was formed in 1997 by bassist Eduardo, singer Daniel and guitarist Paco. This Spanish band issued one album on Goldtrack before disappearing. The album was recorded in Spain at Oasis Studio. Timo Tolkki of Stratovarius, with whom the band had played before, mixed the band’s sole album at Finnvox Studio in Finland. Drummer 'Lucky' was described as a guest on the album.

The band reappeared and issued 20:10 in 2011. In fact, only the guitarist was the same.

Reviews

IS PAIN - 1999 - GOLDTRACK
Judging by the quality on record on this debut, Spanish bands are finally ready to compete internationally on the heavy metal scene. Based upon the premise of a professional progressive pomp rock outfit, the four main members of Is Pain have laid down involved tracks like The Shadow and Two Days in Paradise to largely positive effect for fans of the above-mentioned genres. Both guitars and vocals are replenished by a successful sound engineering at Finland's Finnvox Studio something that goes some way in placing the band above the common Spanish fray. Queensrÿche/ Dream Theater fans might as well take a peak. - Ali "The Metallian"
