History & Biography
This black metal act was founded in Portugal in 1992 as Grendel. The monicker was changed to Geryous a year later. Israthoum was the new name as of 1998. Portugal was abandoned for The Netherlands. Tiuval is Dutch.

The band issued a demo simply called Hatred in 2001. The Art Of Malice, Black Scenery Avatar and Promo 2007 followed. The band issued a demo, called Monument Of Brimstone, in 2008, which was licensed by Burning World and Spikefarm in 2009. A couple of split records lead to the Antru Kald EP of 2015. The EP’s material were originally intended for a side project of Arvath and W.Ur.

Israthoum is ‘the shadow of death’ in Yiddish.
