History & Biography
Jingo De Lunch was formed in Berlin by a number of former punk musicians, including the African Canadian Duckworth who was born near Toronto, in 1987. The singer's stepfather had moved the family to Germany. The singer and guitarists had played together in Manson Youth and Combat Not Conform. The rhythm section was the last to join. The crossover band soon recorded a MLP called Cursed Earth for the Bronzen label, which lead to a deal with the bigger We Bite Label. The band kept up its diverse approach, but was criticized for signing with a major label in 1990 and abandoning most of its hardcore elements. The band was eventually dropped and Schwoll moved on to other bands in 1994. A demo was issued and shows were played but the band would soon give up in 1997.

The band announced it would play a one-off reunion show in Berlin at the White Trash Fast Food on August 25th, 2006. More gigs followed in 2007. Ehrenseberger left the band and was replaced by Tico Zamora. The act released a new album Land Of The Free-ks in 2010. A live release, called Live In Kreuzberg, followed. The act broke up in 2012.
