History & Biography
Jotunspor is the noise metal project of Gorgoroth’s King Ov Hell and former Gorgoroth drummer Kvitrafn. The two also operated doom metal band Sahg. The band obtained a deal with Coldspring for Europe and Candlelight in the USA and had their debut issued in the summer of 2006. It was recorded at Fimbulljod, which belonged to Kvitrafn. The vocals duties were shared as King Ov Hell was also recording with Sahg and Gorgoroth at the time. The band ended up being a mere project and that was it.

Reviews

JOTUNSPOR - GLEIPNIRS SMEDER - CANDLELIGHT
A current Gorgoroth member, King Ov Hell, and a former member, Kvitrafn have gotten together for this seven-track Blacksmiths Of Gleipnirs which is sung entirely in Norwegian and 'old norse'. The title track plunges immediately into raw black mental the kinds of which one would hear on Bathory, Burzum or Mystifier albums. The seven minute second track, Svartalvheims Djup, is entirely made up of sounds and effects, the kinds of which are surely only heard in the depths of hell. The dark often slow to mid-paced low deep guitar sounds continue on Solartjuven. Freke Han Renn...actually provides a few distinguishable guitar riffs and speeds up for a good amount of time too. Sol Mun Svartne is of the faster Bathory variety. Ginnungagalder and Ildkrig (also the name of a band the drummer was in) offer the differing aspect of Gleipnirs Smeder, the former being fast and the latter making use of the low, deep sounds mixed with effects and guttural noises. - Anna Tergel
