History & Biography
There was a 2024 demo called Hydra. The band was founded in 2020 and quickly issued a self-titled demo. Niko Hienonen switched to vocals from drums. Finland-based Karu had a lyric video for the song Shadow War off its 2025 album Perdition, which was out through Rockshots as of September 16th. Like many bands at the time, the band described its music as "cinematic". The band also claimed influence from The Last Samurai and Memoirs Of A Geisha. The band was composed of singer and keyboardist Niko Hienonen, guitarist Kalle Pöyskö and Toni Tieaho (ex-Mors Principium Est and Crystalic) now.

Finnish band As I May had an album called Karu.
