History & Biography
This group was founded in 1994. The first demo was called Terror, Storm And Darkest Arts and appeared in 1996. The line-up on the tape read singer D. Lohenburg, guitarist and drummer Drakh and guitarist and bassist Scorn. A demo a year later, entitled Into Endless Chaos, was missing Drakh ostensibly part of the German military-industrial complex. It was distributed by someone called Chanteloup Creations. The Red Eye Of Wrath was the 1998 demo’s name. A rehearsal featuring Drakh was spread before the Czech Republic-based Nhaavah issued a split release. Trident Trinity was a split with Deathcult also based in Germany and featuring Drakh and Scorn.

Germany’s own Sombre Records signed the act and issued an album simply called 666. Drummer M.K. was Scorn’s brother. Katharsis and Black Witchery shared a release in 2002. Then it was 2003 and time for a new full-length. The line-up had remained stable. Scorn contributed lyrics to Watain’s Casus Luciferi album in 2003.

Antaeus and Katharsis shared a delayed split release in 2009 owing to the former band’s line-up upheaval and the act had an LP appropriately called Fourth Reich before the band bit the dust. Amazingly, the line-up had remained stable. The black metal band The Nekromancer was a follow-up act. Hell Metal was an eight-cassette compilation box set in 2024.
