History & Biography Napalm Records issued Denmark-based Katla's debut album, Scandinavian Pain. The sludge/doom act had videos for the songs Dead Lover (House Of Pain) and Taurus. The band was founded in 2018 and issued a demo simply called Katla in that year. Katla was billed at Prophecy Fest in Germany in 2019. Warmongering Luciferians (Chapter1) and Warmongering Luciferians (Chapter2) followed. Singer and bassist David Rosing left in 2022. The act signed to the label and booking agency in 2024. Katla was booked for Mystic Festival 2025 and had gigging with 3 Inches Of Blood and Spirits Adrift. 1914 announced The War That Never Ends European headlining tour with openers and label-mates Katla (Denmark) for the spring of 2026.
Katla is Danish for 'cat.'
