History & Biography
Killers was another name for another venture by former Iron maiden singer Paul Di’Anno. Following the relative lack of success of Battlezone the vocalist formed Killers in 1991 - named after the Maiden album of the same name. Killer was quite heavy in delivery, although Di’Anno Did not shy away from playing Maiden tunes. The group initially featured Raven bassist John Gallagher, although despite John’s early departure the personnel was mainly former NWOBHMers. Di'Anno was thrown in jail for domestic violence during this period in the USA and subsequently deported to the UK, which delayed the band's proceedings.

Menace To Society was considered both heavy and influenced by Pantera. The album did not sell well and lead to the disbandment of Killers. Live was issued in 1997, but recorded during the tours of 1995. Live At The Whiskey was a belated attempt to cash in on an era and a band that had ceased to exist. A compilation of the band’s work was issued in 2002 to coincide with the 2001 to 2003 activity. Di'Anno was jailed, this time in the UK, for benefits' fraud in 2011.

In 2013, Metal Mind Productions Would re-release three albums by Killers. The band featured members of Iron Maiden, Tank, Raven and Battlezone and was back. South American Assault, Murder One and Menace To Society would be available in new digipak remastered editions with bonus tracks. The release date was set for November 11th in Europe and December 3rd in Canada. After announcing his retirement from the music business former singer Paul Di'Anno announced he was instead recording a new album with a new band Architects Of Chaoz in 2014. Metal Mind Productions had 2015 vinyl releases of three albums by the '90s band. The LPs would be available in the colours of the British flag: blue (Murder One), white (Menace To Society) and red (South American Assault). Di'Anno died at home in Salisbury, England on 21st of October 2024. He had been in poor health in recent years, performed sitting down and undergone knee surgery in Croatia, which was paid for through crowdfunding and funds from Iron Maiden. Cause of death was announced to be a tear in the sac around the heart allowing blood to accumulate and leading to the heart to stop working. A memorial show was to take place at Camden Underworld in London, England on November 7th 2024. Singers Guzz Colins (Electric Gypsy) and David Smith (Gypsy's Kiss) were to sing Paul's songs. Confirmed guests were Terry Wapram (ex-Iron Maiden) and Tino Troy (Praying Mantis).
