Reviews KILLING SPREE - CHOOSE AND DECIDE - MORBID
This band is going nowhere faster than most. What that refers to is how Killing Spree (which is formed from the ashes of Germany's Enslaved) has the capacity to be a potent death metal force with a monicker reminiscent of a Deranged song, a sound that has the brutality of label-mates Mucupurulent and the immensity of Bolt Thrower, but instead settles for a keyboard-drenched disappointment a la Phlebotomized. As much as the sound and heaviness of this mob should be a cause for celebration and adoration among the fans of extreme metal community, instead it is with regret that the band's mixing of metal with spineless keyboarding causes an adjustment to this review. Most songs favour the above-described formula except for the album's closer Angst with its more melodic approach. - Ali "The Metallian"
