History & Biography
King Of Asgard is another Swedish band comprised of doppelgangers, veterans, former colleagues, moonlighters and associated musicians. The band was formed in 2008 and issued a demo called Prince Of Märings in 2009. The demo featured Beckmann and Larsson. The band members were already connected to Metal Blade and soon had the band signed to the label. The Viking metal band had a new album …To North through Metal Blade in July 2012. It was recorded at Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden with engineer Andy La Rocque. Karg was supported through a video for the song The Runes Of Hel. Metal Blade dropped the band. Lars Tängmark and Karsten Larsson left in 2015. Taudr switched to Trollmusic. The band considered it a mini-album despite the over 30 minutes length. Svartrviðr had a video for the song Ammobiærg. The band was invited to Månegarm Open Air in 2022.
