History & Biography Coming out of the land of Pink Cream 69, the school band Blues Kids changed its monicker to Kissin' Dynamite after six years of existence in 2007 and released an album called Steel Of Swabia through EMI. Two members came from Mad Flash. Swabia was one term for Germany, but more often the mediaeval name for Southwestern Germany. The group appeared at Bang Your Head.
Addicted To Metal, the follow-up, indicated a new habit for a band that was until recently called ‘Blues’ Kids. Anvil did not sue the band for its cover artwork. The band and Primal Fear toured in 2010. All the babe on the cover of Money, Sex & Power wanted was a cigarette, money, sex, power and another major label deal. She received everything except had to settle for AFM Records. The group toured with Steel Panther. Megalomania was supported through a video for the song Fireflies. Generation Goodbye - Dynamite Nights was a CD/DVD package culled from a 2016 show. The band conducted the Europe In Ecstasy Tour 2019. The group appeared at 70,000 Tons Of Metal in 2020.
The group switched to Napalm Records and released a new album in January 2022. Canadian session man Sean Lang was on drums as Schnitzer, who also wrote much of the lyrics, had departed. Amazingly, this was the act’s only line-up change thus far. The album’s title referenced the departure of the drummer. The act and Dynazty toured in 2023. The band was also booked for Graspop and Bang Your Head Festival 2023. Kissin' Dynamite had a new album, entitled Back With A Bang, through Napalm Records in July 2024. it was the successor to the #2 German charting Not The End Of The Road from 2022. Back With A Bang! hit the #1 position on the German charts.
Kissin’ Dynamite was a 1988 song by AC/DC. It appears on the Blow Up Your Video album. Schnitzer's cellphone ringtone was from the song. This led to the members picking the monicker. The Brauns are brothers. The group has used ‘permanent vacation’ as its motto in the past.
