Reviews KLOGR - TILL YOU DECAY - VALERY
Klogr is a band not many people have heard of as the group’s age is almost two at the time of this writing. Yet, the sound is quite mature and full. It sounds as if the compositions have had time to ripen which cannot be the case unless the songs belong either to a previous incarnation or former bands. Unfortunately, things do not take the form of molten pure metal. The band admits that it is an alternametal act, whatever that is, but there is enough rough and tumble guitars drums and emotion to justify an inclusion in the annals of Metallian Towers. Right, Mr. Metallian? The vocals take on smooth and aggressive guises and the music is a heavy alternative version of vibe and modern, but the emotional content lets the band keep its self-respect. Live Dying, which begins the album, is listenable and more, Bleeding is full of feeling and heaviness, Green Star is the album’s best and Value Of Sin keeps up the roller-coaster bag of goodies. Special mention is reserved for the boom and depth of the drummer and its sound. It is not metal all the way, but for the more liberal this band is a jab at an insider tip. - Anna Tergel
