History & Biography
Krigsgrav was formed by David Sikora as a solo black metal project in Keller, Texas in 2004 before Justin Coleman joined. Melodic doom metal was added to the soundscape. The band's debut album, The Leviathan Crown (2010), channeled early Scandinavian black metal with lo-fi roots. Singer Blutjäger left in 2010. Follow-up Lux Capta Est (2011) introduced more melodic themes, laying the groundwork for the band’s shift to atmospheric doom.

Krigsgrav continued to expand its sound with The Sundering (2021, Wise Blood Records), integrating post-metal sounds and, of course, guest musicians. The band followed up quickly with Fires In The Fall and Stormcaller. The band mostly appears at regional festivals and clubs in Texas and nearby states, sharing bills over the years with acts like Giant Of The Mountain.

Line-up changes are the norm. The band's monicker translates into 'War Grave' in English from Swedish.
