History & Biography This Kruk (meaning ‘raven’) should not be confused with another Polish black metal band with the same name from the ‘90s. The band was formed in 2001 and recorded a disc paying tribute to its inspirations, like Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, etc., called Memories in 2006. The band issued Before He'll Kill You in 2009 – in English and Polish editions - and embarked on the Spring Blizzard Tour 2009. Doogie White (ex-Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tank and more) and Piotr Kupicha (Feel) made guest appearances on 2011’s It Will Not Come Back. Kruk was in the studio in 2012 working on material for a new release. The third, as yet untitled, album was scheduled for release in autumn. In 2014, Metal Mind Productions would re-release the debut album by the best Polish hard rock band. The album, entitled Before He’ll Kill You, was first released in 2009 and now would be available again in a new digipak edition with three bonus tracks recorded live in 2011. Kruk’s fourth full-length release was entitled Before and out through Metal Mind in June of 2014. Metal Mind announced a new album including eight songs recorded with a guest vocalist, Wojtek Cugowski (known from Bracia). The group was booked for UĆ Stock Vol.4 in 2023.
